India returns to space with pride! Group Captain Shubhanshu “Shuks” Shukla is set to become the first Indian astronaut to reach the International Space Station (ISS) aboard Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4), launching June 10 via SpaceX Falcon 9. This comes 41 years after Rakesh Sharma’s iconic 1984 mission. A decorated Indian Air Force officer, aerospace engineer, and test pilot, Shukla has logged over 2,000 flight hours and trained with NASA, ESA, JAXA, and Russia’s Gagarin Centre. His ISS journey will advance India’s Gaganyaan mission, with Shukla leading seven India-led microgravity experiments. The Lucknow-born pilot will interact with PM Modi, school students, and carry the dreams of a billion Indians.#shubhanshushukla #indiaax4mission #indiaspacecomeback #issmission #rakeshsharma #isro #spacexlaunch #gaganyaan #axiomspace #nasa #toi #toibharat #bharat #breakingnews #indianews
