ShopOS raises $20mn led by Binny Bansal | Bengaluru News
Bengaluru: ShopOS, a startup building an AI-based operating system for e-commerce, has raised $20 million led by Binny Bansal’s 3State Ventures. The company said it will use the funds to expand its engineering team and further develop its AI platform, and add more brand customers. Founded by Sai Krishna V K and Ajay P V, ShopOS develops software that uses AI to streamline common e-commerce tasks, including creating product listings, generating marketing campaigns, and adapting online stores based on visitor behaviour. The company aims to reduce manual effort and enable brands to operate across platforms and markets more efficiently. “The e-commerce landscape evolved, but many operational tools did not keep pace. We’re focusing on using AI agents that can carry out core commerce tasks for brands, not just support them,” the founders said in a statement. Bansal said the investment reflects a shift towards AI-driven commerce platforms. “The potential for an AI-based operating system to help brands scale across markets is significant. Sai and Ajay have the technical and e-commerce experience to build this,” he added.Prior to founding ShopOS, the entrepreneurs built the AR-based platform Scapic, which was acquired by Flipkart. The company said it has early customers in India, Europe, and the UAE and plans to expand to hundreds of brands over the next year.
