NTA NEET UG admit card 2025: Overview

The NEET UG 2025 exam will be held in a single shift on May 4, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST. Candidates must report to their respective centres by 1:30 PM, as late entries will not be permitted under any circumstances. The test will be conducted in offline mode (pen-and-paper) and will consist of 180 mandatory multiple-choice questions covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology).

The exam serves as the gateway to over 1 lakh MBBS seats, 27,618 BDS seats, 52,720 AYUSH seats, and admission into AIIMS (1,899 seats) and JIPMER (249 seats) across 612 medical and 315 dental colleges nationwide.

After the NEET UG 2025 exam concludes on May 4, candidates can expect a structured post-exam process. The provisional answer key is anticipated to be released in the fourth week of May 2025, allowing aspirants to raise objections if necessary. The final results are tentatively scheduled for release by June 14, 2025. Following the announcement of results, the counselling process will commence in July 2025. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will oversee admissions under the All India Quota (AIQ), while individual state authorities will manage counselling for state quota seats.
