New Visvesvaraya Technological University centre to boost research in next-gen technology | Bengaluru News
Bengaluru: Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) inaugurated the Hub and Spoke Centre of Excellence at its regional office in Bengaluru. The facility aims to catalyse research, innovation and entrepreneurship in next-generation technologies. Union minister of communications Jyotiraditya Scindia said: “Startups must be built not just for innovation but to solve today’s pressing societal problems. They must align with India’s development vision. The future lies in 6G, AI, quantum computing and beyond. We must be prepared to lead this transformation.”The new centre of excellence is the result of a strategic partnership between VTU, Visvesvaraya Research & Innovation Foundation (VRIF) and Telecom Centre of Excellence (TCOE), India. Spanning over 1 lakh sqft, the facility is designed to become a national hub for research in emerging fields such as 5G and 6G communication technologies, AI and machine learning, augmented and virtual reality, quantum computing and advanced healthcare technologies.
