MUMBAI: Maharashtra reported 43 new Covid cases on Sunday, bringing the total number of active cases in the state to 209. Mumbai continues to see the sharpest increase, with 242 cases reported so far in May, including 35 on Sunday alone.Doctors said Covid appears to be behaving like any other virus and there is no reason to panic.Since Jan, the state has conducted 7,389 tests, yielding 300 positive results. Health officials noted that all confirmed cases presented with only mild symptoms.Four patients with pre-existing health conditions have died since May 18. While all tested positive for Covid, officials stressed that their underlying illnesses were the primary causes of death.
