The body was in a decomposed state.According to police, Nagarajappa checked into the hotel on July 1. He produced his police ID proof at the reception. The staff didn’t check his room as he was a police officer, and they assumed he may have come for investigation of a crime. Nagarajappa is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter.
