Jeffrey Epstein Hoax: Trump slams his ‘past supporters’ who want client list to be released, says he doesn’t need them
President Donald Trump again spoke on the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein controversy and described it as ‘Jeffrey Epstein Hoax’, as he admonished his past supporters for their fixation over the convicted pedophile who died by suicide in 2019. In a lengthy Truth Social post, Trump asserted that he would always call this Jeffrey Epstein Hoax as it is nothing but totally made up by the ‘Radical Left Democrats’ but his past supporters have called for it. Trump said he does not need his past supporters who speak nothing of his success but demand release of Epstein list.“Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bulls‑‑‑,’ hook, line, and sinker,” Trump posted. “They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.“I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country’s history, and all these people want to talk about, with strong prodding by the Fake News and the success starved Dems, is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax,” Trump continued. “Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!”
From ‘terrific guy’ to ‘hoax’: What Trump said about Epstein over the years
Donald Trump and Epstein used to be close at some point and Epstein in 2017 claimed that he was Trump’s “closest friend”. Trump, however, said he had a fallout with Epstein long ago over a property issue. In a New York magazine piece in 2002, Trump called Epstein ‘terrific guy’. In 2019, before Epstein’s suicide, Trump said he was not a fan of Epstein. He also said he had no idea that Epstein was molesting underage women in his infamous island. Epstein committed suicide in his prison cell when Trump was the president. Trump wanted a full investigation into the Epstein case and in 2020, Trump said he was not sure whether Epstein was killed or if he committed suicide. After the DOJ and the FBI announced to close the investigation and said that Epstein had no client list, Trump said the Epstein Files were written by people like former presidents Barack Obama, Joe Biden and former FBI chief James Comey; and there’s no truth in those.
