Kiara Advani was officially announced to play the female lead in ‘Don 3’ opposite Ranveer Singh. However, as the actress got pregnant, she had to exit from the film. There were speculations about who would replace the Kiara. Rumours were rife that Kriti Sanon has been cast after Kiara’s exit from the film. Now it is finally confirmed. Farhan Akhtar’s production house has confirmed Kriti as the lead. In a statement, they said, “Farhan Akhtar is also preparing for his next directorial venture, Don 3, which is expected to go on floors in January 2026. The film will feature Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon in leading roles.” Kiara and Siddharth Malhotra just became parents to a baby girl. Their daughter was born on July 15 at Reliance Hospital In Mumbai. The couple officially announced the news on their social media. Meanwhile, as far as ‘Don 3’ is concerned, the statement further noted that the search for the villain continues. It said, “Casting for the film is underway, with the makers reportedly in talks with a top A-list actor to take on the intense antagonist role.” This statement regarding the casting of the antagonist comes amidst reports about Vikrant Massey and Vijay Deverakonda rejected the project due to concerns with the script. Reports suggest that the negative character lacks depth and that was the reason behind Vikrant’s exit from the film. While the film will go on floors in January 2026, at the moment, Ranveer is busy with Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’. The makers dropped the first look of the movie on Ranveer’s birthday on July 6. The film is set to release on December 5.
