‘Firecracker blaze’ in JVLR building | Mumbai News
Mumbai: A fire broke out in a flat on the 22nd floor of a 29-storey building on Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road around 10.15pm Monday. Residents said a firecracker might have fallen on the balcony of a flat in Maxima society. No one was injured. “The fire brigade was informed, but we told them not to come as the blaze was doused soon. MP Ravindra Waikar, who resides in the same building, helped in fire-fighting efforts,” said Abhay Deeip, chairman of Maxima society. “No one was in the flat when the incident occured. The fire was doused with the help of the building’s fire-fighting system.” — Sanjeev Devasia
