Doc accused of molesting patient at clinic on run | Mumbai News
Mumbai: The Samta Nagar police have registered an FIR against a 45-year-old doctor based on the complaint of a female patient that she was sexually assaulted at his clinic in Kandivli (east) on Sunday. The doctor has been on the run since.The clinic is located in a slum colony. The 24-year-old patient had gone to the clinic for a check up between 9.30 pm and 10.30 pm, accompanied by her sister. She later told the police that the doctor asked her sister and the compounder to leave the examination room and closed the door. He then forcibly kissed the patient and touched her inappropriately. She immediately contacted her sister through a text message for help. Thereafter, the patient and her sister approached Samta Nagar police station to lodge a complaint late at night. The police said that the clinic is in the name of the doctor’s wife. Police teams are looking for the doctor. The police said that the doctor has been appointed as chief medical officer at another hospital and they are making inquiries at the hospital.
