Bengaluru youth arrested for posting video against Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Bengaluru: A 25-year-old technician was arrested Tuesday on charges of posting a video in which he questioned why no bombs were falling on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s house during the India-Pakistan conflict.The accused, F Navaz, was staying in a paying guest accommodation at Mangammana Palya, southern part of the city.According to police, Navaz chose to stay there for easier commute to customer locations where he repairs air-conditioners, refrigerators, televisions and other appliances.Bandepalya police registered a suo motu case against him. The FIR states Navaz has been booked under BNS Sections 152 (Acts endangering sovereignty, unity, and integrity of India) and 196 (Promoting enmity between different groups).In the video, Navaz is said to have commented: “Why are no bombs falling on Modi’s house during the India-Pakistan fight? Why is the general public put to hardship? First, bomb Modi’s house. I am not saying anything with bad intention nor saying Modi should be killed. The public is looking after themselves. Modi is creating nuisance by introducing different taxes. During fights between big people, it is the small people who suffer. I am not afraid to tell you this.”Navaz was produced before a local court, which remanded him in judicial custody.
