Bengaluru bus accident: BMTC electric bus crashes into canteen in Peenya; 1 dead, several injured | Bengaluru News
BENGALURU: A 25-year-old woman died and four others were injured after an electric bus operated by the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) rammed into pedestrians and a roadside canteen in the Peenya Industrial Area on Friday morning. According to police, the bus was being driven by the conductor, Ramesh M, at the time of the incident. The deceased has been identified as Suma, a bank employee. The injured have been named as Pavana, Suneeta, Keertana, and Salma. All five were reportedly walking on the pavement when the bus veered off the road and hit them.The conductor has been detained by police.
