IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay have opened applications for their Master of Business Administration programmes for the 2026–2028 batch. Candidates who appeared in CAT 2025 can now apply online to both institutes through their respective admission portals.If you are considering submitting an application, make sure to inspect eligibility criteria, deadlines, interview dates, and fee structure in detail. Both the institutes have different admission procedures and after qualifying CAT 2025, candidates will be required to send separate applications to each.Application timelines and admission scheduleIIT Delhi started the online MBA application process on November 30, 2025. The last date for submitting the application form is January 26, 2026. Interviews of shortlisted candidates will be conducted at IIT Delhi and the interview dates are from March 09, 2026 to March 13, 2026. The announcement of final admission results is likely be around the first week of May 2026. The registration of new students is planned for July 18, 2026 and July 19, 2026. Following the registration, orientation will be held on July 23, 2026.IIT Bombay started its MBA application process on January 01, 2026 at 10:00 AM. The application window would be accessible till January 31, 2026 at 5:00 PM. The fee payment window lasts until February 01, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Personal interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held offline at SJMSOM IIT Bombay from March 05, 2026 to March 08, 2026. Dates for the final selection list have not been announced yet.Eligibility criteria for MBA programmesFor the MBA programme at IIT Delhi, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree of at least three years duration after completing 10+2, awarded by a recognised university or institution. A minimum of 60 per cent aggregate marks or 6.00 CGPA on a 10-point scale is required. SC, ST and PwD candidates are eligible for a relaxation to 55 per cent or 5.50 CGPA. Final-year students and candidates awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to provisional admission conditions.IIT Delhi also offers an MBA in Telecommunication Systems Management. Eligibility includes bachelor’s degrees in engineering, technology, sciences, commerce, economics, CA or ICWA, with a minimum of four years of education where applicable. The same minimum marks and category-wise relaxation apply.The MBA at IIT Bombay’s Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management entails the candidates to obtain CAT 2025 as well as satisfy the institute’s academic eligibility criteria. Applicants should submit individual applications for CAT and the IIT Bombay MBA programme since IIMs do not get involved in SJMSOM’s selection process.Application process and document requirementsApplicants to IIT Delhi must furnish a passport, size photograph, signature and CAT scorecard at the time of the initial application. On being shortlisted, candidates have to provide academic records from Class 10 onwards, degree certificates, CGPA conversion certificates, category certificates, work experience details, photo ID and achievement documents.IIT Bombay expects candidates to present various pieces of evidence such as photographs, signatures, CAT 2025 scorecards, Class 10 and 12 certificates, graduation certificates or the latest semester marksheets, category certificates and work experience proof. For IIT Delhi, the tuition fee for Indian citizens is Rs. 12.00 lakh for the full MBA programme, payable across four semesters. For the 2025–2027 batch, general, OBC and EWS students paid Rs. 3,00,000 per semester as tuition, along with other charges and institute residence fees.
