‘Maine bahut mehnat ki hai’: Ranveer Singh’s chant post ’Dhurandhar’ blockbuster run |
After ‘Dhurandhar’ broke box office records, people thought Ranveer Singh would be all over the place, but he chose to stay away. Even with the film’s big success, the actor is keeping very low-key. Known for his high energy and showing up at events, he has avoided the spotlight—no talks, no happy posts, and almost no public shows.
Ranveer Singh’s single instagram post
Ranveer put up a single update on his Instagram stories, featuring a movie dialogue. It went: “Kismat ki ek bohut khoobsurat aadat hai, ki woh waqt aane par badalti hai… Lekin filhal… Nazar aur sabr.”
Promotion encounters
Now, Varinder Chawla, a paparazzi photographer who met Ranveer many times during promotions, has talked about the actor’s mindset. At a Hindi Rush roundtable, he remembered how Singh kept saying he worked very hard on the film and said, “Dhurandhar is quite new, so I remember this very clearly. During the promotions, I met Ranveer Singh twice. When the PR introduced me to him, he told me just one line: ‘Paaji, maine bahaut mehnat ki hai ispe’ (Brother, I have worked very hard on this film). When I met him again, he repeated the same thing: ‘Paaji, maine sach mein bahaut mehnat ki hai.’”
Hard work on display
The photographer further explained how that dedication truly showed in the performance. He said, “Ranveer told me he gained 15 kilos for the role and then lost it. And honestly, when I watched the film and walked out of the theatre, I could feel the hard work put in by every single person involved,” he said. He mentioned contacting Ranveer right after the screening, “I immediately messaged Ranveer saying I really enjoyed the movie. Even then, his only reply was, ‘Maine bahut mehnat ki hai (I have worked very hard for this film).’ I told him I just wanted to come and hug him.”
Unfair criticism
He also talked about the unfair hate actors sometimes face and said, “When someone puts in so much effort and keeps emphasising how hard they have worked, it’s unfair that some people, due to personal grudges against PRs, end up bad-mouthing actors like him.”
