SSC GD registration 2025 closed: The registration window for SSC GD Constable recruitment 2025 will close tomorrow, December 31, 2025. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has asked eligible candidates to complete the application process without delay.The recruitment is being conducted for Constable (General Duty) posts in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles. The examination is scheduled for 2026. The online application form is available on the official website, ssc.gov.in.
Important dates to note
As per the official notice dated December 1, 2025, the online registration process began on December 1. The last date to submit the application form is December 31, 2025, till 11:00 PM.The last date for online fee payment is January 1, 2026. The correction window will open from January 8 to January 10, 2026. No changes will be allowed after that. The Computer Based Examination (CBE) is tentatively scheduled between February and April 2026.
Total vacancies across forces
The recruitment drive aims to fill 25,487 vacancies across seven forces. These include BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, Assam Rifles, and SSF.Out of the total posts, 23,467 are for male candidates and 2,020 are for female candidates. CISF has the highest number of vacancies, followed by CRPF and Assam Rifles.The Commission has clarified that vacancies are tentative and may change. Ten per cent of the posts are reserved for Ex-servicemen. State and Union Territory-wise allocation will apply for most forces, except SSF, which follows an all-India recruitment process.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates must be Indian citizens. They should have passed Class 10 or Matriculation from a recognised board as on January 1, 2026.The age limit is 18 to 23 years. Candidates must be born between January 2, 2003, and January 1, 2008. Age relaxation will be given to reserved categories as per government rules.
Selection process and exam pattern
The selection process includes five stages. These are the Computer Based Examination, Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test, Medical Examination, and Document Verification.The CBE will have 80 questions. Each question will carry two marks. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The exam will be conducted in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages.
Pay scale and application process
Selected candidates will get Pay Level 3. The salary range is ₹21,700 to ₹69,100. Candidates must apply only through the new SSC website. One-Time Registration from the old portal is not valid.
