Kawasaki Z650RS launched in India: Price, engine specs, features & more
Kawasaki has launched the updated Z650RS in India, pricing the middleweight at Rs 7.83 lakh, ex-showroom. With this update, the motorcycle brings a few notable changes while the mechanicals remain unchanged. The biggest update for the 2026 model year is under the skin. The Z650RS continues with the same 649cc, parallel-twin engine, but it is now E20-compliant, in line with Kawasaki’s broader move to update its 650cc range. The engine produces 68 hp and 62.1 Nm of torque and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. An assist and slipper clutch is offered as standard. In terms of design, Kawasaki has retained the Z650RS’s neo-retro character. The motorcycle features a circular LED headlamp, wide handlebars, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a flat, single-piece seat. For 2026, the bike gets a new metallic blue and gold paint scheme, replacing the earlier black and gold combination. It also has golden alloy wheels.
The suspension setup includes a telescopic fork at the front and a rear monoshock, while braking is handled by disc brakes on both ends, with dual front discs. On the electronics front, the Z650RS gets analogue-style dials for the speedometer and tachometer, complemented by a multi-functional LCD display. Kawasaki Traction Control is also part of the package, offering two selectable modes. Deliveries of the 2026 Kawasaki Z650RS in India are expected to begin from mid-January 2026.Stay tuned to TOI Auto for latest updates on the automotive sector and do follow us on our social media handles on Facebook, Instagram and X.
