Bengaluru hosts Harvard’s MEDscience, inspires young minds | Bengaluru News
Bengaluru: The city hosted Harvard Medical School’s HMS MEDscience program, the first of its kind in the country, to ignite scientific interest among high school students. Through the ‘Anandi Moonshot Programme,’ 20 students from grades 6 to 10 engaged in patient case studies, cancer diagnostics, and clinical simulations, culminating in innovative project presentations. The initiative received over one thousand applications from major cities. The selected students completed a six-day intensive learning program at Anandi School in Ghattahalli Saturday. Participants gained insights into how medical teams diagnose, collaborate, and handle healthcare challenges in real time. Anna Yost, the program director of HMS MEDscience, said the program was created with the belief that powerful and immersive learning experiences can inspire young minds to pursue science, medicine, and innovation with confidence and purpose.
