CUET UG 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important advisory for candidates appearing in the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026. The public notice was released on December 27, 2025, to guide aspirants about the examination process and key requirements.According to the notice, the National Testing Agency will conduct the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 in the third week of May 2026. The exam will be held in 13 mediums across India and abroad for admission to undergraduate programmes offered by Central Universities (CUs) and other participating universities.

CUET UG 2026 application process

The application form for CUET UG 2026 will be made available on the official website of the National Testing Agency at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates are advised to apply only through the official portal.

Courses, universities, and syllabus

Details of programmes and courses offered by the Central Universities and other universities are available on the CUET UG portal and the respective university websites. The list of participating universities is dynamic, and candidates should regularly check the NTA website at cuet.nta.nic.in for the latest updates.The syllabus for the CUET UG 2026 has also been released and is available on the official website at cuet.nta.nic.in.

Advisory on Aadhaar details

NTA has issued this advisory to reduce problems faced by candidates while filling the application form. The advisory highlights issues related to Aadhaar authentication.Candidates are advised to update their Aadhaar details, if required, by following the guidelines of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). However, if a candidate’s father’s name or mother’s name is not recorded in the Aadhaar database, it will not be required to be filled in the online application form.

Mismatch in name details

In case there is a mismatch in the candidate’s name as per Aadhaar Card and Class 10 certificate or marksheet, the application system will provide an option to resolve this issue during the application process.
