Varanasi: India’s first hydrogen catamaran taxi, plying between Namo Ghat and Ravidas Ghat in Varanasi, was hit by a boat near Namo Ghat on Tuesday evening. The operation of the vessel – flagged off by Union minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Dec 11 – has been stopped until the fuel sensor and the cover are repaired, an official said.The catamaran operators lodged an FIR against the boatman. Police are trying to find if crash was deliberate.
