Sixth person arrested for sending abusive messages to actor Ramya | Bengaluru News
Bengaluru: Cybercrime sleuths from the Central Crime Branch (CCB) Friday arrested a 20-year-old man on charges of sending abusive messages to actor Divya Spandana, better known as Ramya, last month. The accused, Pramod K, a resident of Maruthisevanagar. Police investigation revealed that Pramod sent the abusive message through the account “pramod..gowda..87”.Since Saturday, police have been arresting suspects for sending abusive/threat messages and obscene videos to Ramya. Pramod, a security guard, is the sixth person to be arrested. “His mother and other family members argued that the phone used was their neighbour’s and that Pramod could not have sent the abusive text. However, the abusive texts were made through his Instagram account,” an investigating officer said.Ramya was trolled after she hailed the Supreme Court, which reprimanded Karnataka high court for the manner in which it had granted bail to actor and murder accused Darshan.
