In a strange incident, Dan Rivera, a famous paranormal investigator, was found dead in his hotel room during the Annabelle Doll tour. The 54-year-old investigator died with one of the world’s most haunted dolls — the Annabelle on July 13, 2025. He was found lifeless in his hotel room in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, U.S. soon after getting over with an event where he showcased the ‘supposedly’ haunted doll, as part of a “Devils Road Tour”.
Annabelle’s story: The real Annabelle doll is a vintage Raggedy Ann doll. It is said that the doll is possessed by a demon. As per the Warrens (late Ed and Lorraine Warren – famous paranormal investigators), the doll was involved in several hauntings so they had to secure it in a glass case. Though the doll was prohibited from the public eyes, the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR) still displays it at special events under precautions at their special events.
Though the investigators have not found any suspicious or foul play, the timing of his death has shocked the world sparking the debate “if the curse of Annabelle is real”. On this note, let’s have a look at the world’s top 5 most haunted (supposedly) doll museums.
