Edu min: 420 illegal schools in city, 47 shut | Mumbai News
Mumbai: There are 420 unauthorised schools, of which 47 have been shut down, said state school education minister Dada Bhuse on Wednesday. Replying to Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Bhaskar Jadhav, Bhuse said 103 of the 420 schools have been penalised and 126 are facing criminal cases. Of 1,057 permissed schools, 211 has been permitted and seven has been shut down. Responding to BJP’s Sneha Dube Pandit, Bhuse said setting up of a special investigation team to probe illegal inclusion of staff names was underway. PTI
