Mumbai accident: BEST bus rams into truck on Western Express Highway in Goregaon; 6 injured | Mumbai News
MUMBAI: A BEST bus rammed into a stationary truck on the Western Express Highway at Goregaon East early on Friday, injuring the driver, conductor, and six passengers. Vanrai Police are probing the incident further.Sources in BEST said the bus had started from Dindoshi and was en route to the Sewree bus station when a car suddenly emerged from the service road and cut across the bus at Goregaon East. In an attempt to avoid a collision, the bus driver lost control and crashed into a stationary truck parked on the left side of the road. The front portion of the bus was badly damaged.All the injured were rushed to Trauma Care Hospital in Jogeshwari.The injured passengers were identified as Ashraf Hussain (66), Sitaram Gaikwad (60), Bharti Mandavkar (56), Sudhakar Rewale (57), Pochiya Kanpochi (30) and Amit Yadav (35).
