Both pilots dead as IAF Jaguar fighter jet crashes in Rajasthan’s Churu; 2nd mishap in 3 months | Jaipur News

NEW DELHI: Two Indian Air Force (IAF) pilots died after a Jaguar trainer jet crashed in Rajasthan‘s Churu district on Wednesday.The aircraft went down in Ratangarh town, prompting police teams to rush to the site for assessment and to conduct search and rescue operations.Earlier in the day, there was a delay in disclosing the fate of the pilots. Later, the IAF confirmed that both pilots had sustained fatal injuries in the mishap.“An IAF Jaguar trainer aircraft met with an accident during a routine training mission and crashed near Churu in Rajasthan today. Both pilots sustained fatal injuries in the accident. No damage to any civil property has been reported,” the IAF posted on social media platform ‘X’, adding that a court of inquiry has been constituted to ascertain the cause of the accident.Second crash in 3 monthsThis is the second crash involving a Jaguar aircraft this year. In April, another IAF Jaguar went down during a routine training mission near the Jamnagar Air Force Station in Gujarat.
