Car rams into auto, 7 injured in Bengaluru | Bengaluru News
Bengaluru: Seven people, including a child, were injured in a collision between an auto rickshaw and a car near KR Pura Saturday midnight. The incident occurred when a speeding car struck the auto rickshaw from behind, while both vehicles were heading towards KR Pura from Hoskote. After hitting the auto rickshaw, the car crashed onto the road divider and came to a stop.The incident happened near Mylappanahalli Lake around 11.15pm when the cab driver lost balance and hit the auto from behind. Based on a primary investigation, police said a cab (Tata Indica) was carrying three persons, including the driver, while the auto rickshaw had four, including the driver. Due to the impact, the auto rammed into the divider and toppled onto the opposite road. The car came to a halt after ramming into the divider and hitting the metal grills on the divider.All seven persons sustained injuries. A child aged less than two years was in the auto; fortunately, it escaped with minor injuries. The injured were rushed to two different hospitals, and they are out of risk.According to Avalahalli police, until late evening, no complaint was registered regarding the accident. “Once the complaint is lodged, we will know the exact names, ages, and other details of the injured,” a senior officer said.
