The UP Board has finally released the pre-board schedule for 2026. If you are a Class 10 or 12 student, you will soon face these practice exams across all schools in the state. The pre-board exams are considered very important because they give you a real feel of the main board exams.Schools will start conducting pre-board exams from January 8, 2026, and they will continue until January 21, 2026. All government, aided, and unaided schools will follow the same schedule. You should check with your school to know your exact exam timings and subjects.Schools to follow strict pre-board scheduleThe UP Board has asked all principals to complete the syllabus on time. Teachers must make sure students are familiar with the exam pattern. Schools will conduct written pre-board exams and also upload practical and internal assessment marks on the official portal. You can use this chance to see which subjects need more attention.All schools must ensure that every student participates. The department has clearly said that no negligence will be tolerated. After the exams, answer sheets will be evaluated so that students can identify mistakes and improve before the main board exams.Practical exams dates and divisionsPractical exams will be held in two phases. The first phase is from January 24 to February 1, 2026, excluding January 29 and 30. This phase will take place in divisions like Agra, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Devipatan, and Basti.The second phase runs from February 2 to February 9, 2026, in Aligarh, Meerut, Moradabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur divisions.UP 12th board exam timing and subjectsThe UP Intermediate exams will happen in two shifts. The first shift is from 8:30 am to 11:45 am and the second shift is from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Subjects are spread across different dates. Sanskrit and English are on February 20, History on February 21, Biology and Mathematics on February 23, Economics on February 24, Chemistry and Sociology on February 25, Geography on February 26, Physics and Military Science on February 27, Anthropology on March 7, Psychology, Education and Logic on March 9, and Computer on March 12.You should use these pre-board exams to practice time management. Schools will provide a realistic experience, helping you feel more confident for the main UP Board exams starting February 18, 2026.
