UK superflu shows worsen symptoms with bile vomiting: Know why it is serious
The superflu in the UK has become more aggressive and is now even affecting appetite. The flu is showing worse symptoms as more people have been reporting bile vomit. Patients have repeatedly reported vomiting up “yellow bile” as a key symptom of their flu infection. According to a report in Mirror, the H3N2 strain may be more severe than usual because genetic mutations have made it “hotter” and “nastier,” leaving people more vulnerable to infection. Virologists believe this could be due to the flu affecting appetite more than usual, meaning people are vomiting on an empty stomach.

Professor Paul Hunter, a leading infectious diseases expert from the University of East Anglia, told the Mirror.co.uk, “ vomiting yellow bile happens after throwing up on an empty stomach because of inflammation of the stomach lining. It is often mistakenly called ‘stomach flu’, but you can get it as part of the flu.” He also noted that vomiting yellow bile is a key symptom of gastrointestinal viruses, including norovirus and rotavirus, which are circulating at lower levels for this time of year.Professor Stephen Griffin, a virology expert at the University of Leeds, told the Daily Mail that people vomiting yellow bile should focus on staying hydrated. “It’s important to drink plenty of water, even if you’re being sick, because some fluid will still be absorbed,” he said. Other symptoms of the superflu include pain, fever, weakness, dry cough, and tiredness. UK health agencies have urged people to take flu vaccinations as it can help lower the risk of the illness, and may even reduce hospital stays.
