Thus, when reports started doing the rounds that the upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali film ‘Love and War’ might be delayed, owing to a rift between Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, many believed it in no time. The rumour mill also hinted at some creative differences between Ranbir and Bhansali. However, according to the latest update, it has been confirmed that ‘Love and War’ will be released as planned, i.e., in August 2026. The report also squashes rumours of any fallout.

According to Mid-day, there’s been ‘no fallout’ among the cast. “These are long, demanding shoots. Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky are fully on board and committed,” mentioned the report.

Confirming that the date was locked months ago, and as of now, the team is only on a break to enjoy some holiday cheer, the report states, “The unit is currently on a scheduled year-end break. This was locked months ago.” It further clarified that no drama apart from the scripted has taken centre stage at the SLB sets. However, “Bhansali films are mounted on a massive scale, so any pause is immediately seen as a delay.” The movie is being processed as per the given timeline, and as of now, the team is taking care of “patchwork and VFX because it is a period film, select scenes, and musical portions.” Further, some portions of the film are yet to be shot and shedding some light on it, the report added, “They (team ‘Love and War’) plan to resume by mid-January until March, with post-production moving along in parallel.”With this, the report claimed that the film will be released in August 2026, as per the earlier set plan.
