Veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi has addressed reports about him and his wife Rupali Barua meeting with an accident in Guwahati, confirming that the incident did take place but assuring fans that there is nothing serious to worry about.Taking to Instagram Live late Friday night, Ashish directly responded to the news doing the rounds across channels.Explaining what happened, the actor said, “Main ek ajeeb se time par live kar raha hoon, just to let you all know. Because main abhi dekh raha hoon bahut se news channels mein kya kya aa raha hain. Rupali and I were crossing the street yesterday and a bike hit us. We both are fine. Rupali is under observation. All is well, I am good. Chhota sa chot aya hai… but absolutely fine.”
During the live video, Ashish was seen walking to show fans that he was doing okay and repeatedly emphasised that the situation was being blown out of proportion.
‘Nothing to sensationalise’
Urging everyone not to sensationalise the incident, the actor added, “Just to let you know, ha hua hein. But we are good and nothing to sensationalise. The bike rider ka bhi maine abhi police se pata kiya hein ki usko bhi hosh aa gaya hain. Sab ka achcha ho, sab theek rahe. Ap se bhi yahi batana chahte hain. We are taking very good care.”
‘Rupali and I are doing well’
Summing up the update, Ashish reiterated their well-being in the caption of his post, writing, “Rupali and I are well… We are under observation.. but doing well… thank you for your love.” Ashish Vidyarthi married Rupali Barua in 2023. He was earlier married to Piloo Vidyarthi, with whom he shared a 22-year-long marriage before they amicably parted ways in 2022. The actor has a son, Arth Vidyarthi, from his previous marriage.
