Major IPS reshuffle, Bengaluru gets five new DCPs | Bengaluru News
Bengaluru: In a major reshuffle of police officers, the state govt Wednesday promoted and transferred around 68 IPS officers. Bengaluru got five new deputy commissioners of police (DCPs), while Bengaluru Rural district got a new superintendent of police (SP).The new DCPs in Bengaluru are as follows: Mohammad Sujeetha MS for South-East division, GK Mithun Kumar for North-East division, Yatish N for West division, Saidulu Adavath for Whitefield division, and Amathe Vikram for East division.
Chandrakanth MV, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as SP for Bengaluru Rural district, and Sarah Fathima has been named the new SP, railways.In addition to these changes, around 23 SPs were promoted to the rank of deputy inspector-general of police (DIG). Two IPS officers were elevated to the rank of inspector-general of police, and about 20 assistant SPs were promoted to the rank of SP. The remaining officers were promoted in pay scale.
