Yash’s ‘Toxic’ unveils FIRST looks of Nayanthara as Ganga, Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth, Kiara Advani as Nadia: Costume designer says ‘It’s a film with a lot of badass characters’ | Kannada Movie News
Costume designer Neha R Bajaj says ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ headlining Yash, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi and Kiara Advani is not just about clothes. For her, fashion is part of the story itself. When the makers came to her, the brief was very clear. They wanted character-driven styling. Every look had to say something about the person wearing it.Neha R Bajaj delves into the characters of ‘Toxic’In an interview with Mid Day Neha says, “Given the scale of the cast, each character has a distinct stylistic language. The costumes [had to] communicate their authority, emotional state, and the dynamics they bring into the story.” She made sure no look felt random or empty.Kiara Advani and Huma Qureshi’s striking FIRST looksThe first looks of Kiara Advani and Huma Qureshi grabbed a lot of attention. Neha says their looks were meant to feel glamorous, heavy, dreamy, and also intense. Nothing was done halfway. She adds that Toxic is built on a very strong visual idea. “Every character, outfit, and set is designed with a lot of detailing. It’s a film with a lot of badass characters,” she says. Each woman in the film carries strength, power, and emotion through what she wears.Meanwhile, Yash has now shared a new poster of the film. After Kiara and Huma, Nayanthara’s first look is now out. She plays Ganga and wears a black one-shoulder outfit with a thigh-high slit, high boots, and a chunky gold bracelet. Yash shared it with the note, “Introducing Nayanthara as GANGA in – A Toxic Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups.”Contrasting between ‘Toxic’ and ‘The Family Man’Bajaj also spoke about how different ‘Toxic’ is from her other work. She worked on ‘Toxic’ before Raj-DK’s The Family Man. She explains the contrast clearly. “It’s a world apart from The Family Man. Their brief was to keep it real, relatable.” Toxic is the opposite. It is bold, larger than life, and carefully designed.More about ‘Toxic’The film is scheduled for a release on March 19, 2026 and will clash with Aditya Dhar’s Ranveer Singh-led ‘Dhurandhar’ Part 2.
