Bengaluru: Chitra Santhe is back. The 23rd edition of the popular art fair and exhibition will feature 1,530 stalls by artists from 22 states and 4 union territories, as well as an international artist from Dubai.Organised by Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath (CKP), the fair is from 8am to 8pm on Kumara Krupa Road in central Bengaluru on Jan 4 (Sunday). This year’s theme is environmental challenges.CKP president BL Shankar said the theme was chosen following widespread discussion on environment and climate change, with the controversy surrounding Aravalli range in northwest India taking centre stage. The fair will be inaugurated by CM Siddaramaiah, while the art exhibition will be opened by DCM DK Shivakumar. The exhibition, curated in collaboration with Vanalok Foundation, will be open till Jan 12.This time, the stalls will extend from Windsor Manor junction on Kumara Krupa Road to Shivananda Circle, and will include part of Crescent Road. Traffic will be restricted in those areas. Feeder bus services from Majestic, Mantri Square and Vidhana Soudha Metro stations to Shivananda Circle have been arranged by BMTC.— Shriya S
