Roopa, who makes her Hindi directorial debut with the film, says making it was far from easy. “I faced several challenges, including reluctance from crew members in taking instructions from a woman director. Despite multi ple changes in key departments, I am thankful for the sup port of the women in my life for helping me in the pro ject,” she shares. Roopa adds, “This film is a tribute to all the unsung he roes. It doesn’t just showcase leadership or patriotism, but also focuses on stories that are rarely spoken about. It of fers the knowledge of many books in a single film. We chose to make this film in Hindi because Netaji belongs to everyone and cannot be limited to one geography. This is a socially conscious film that I dedicate to our country.”
