Amidst an ongoing investigation into the death of the teen girl, TMZ has reported that the singer could likely face murder charges with prosecutors likely to pursue the case through a grand jury that has the authority to issue indictments.
This update comes after the TMZ report suggested that the panel was an ‘investigative grand jury’, one which typically gathers evidence and witness testimonies, but does not determine criminal charges.
D4vd romantically linked to minor
According to the report, prosecutors, including Beth Silverman, reportedly believe that D4vd was involved in the death of the teen, who has since been romantically linked to him. Following viral social media posts linking the two, authorities later confirmed that the two had a relationship and were known to each other.

Celeste Rivas’ body was discovered in September inside a car registered to the singer. The police were called in after worker complained of foul odor emitting from an impounded car, after the vehicle was towed from the Hollywood Hills area. Following the developments, police searched a rental home in the Hollywood Hills where D4vd had been staying, and even obtained search warrants and seized several items, including a laptop.D4vd initially cooperated with investigators and later even cancelled his tour dates and appearances at festivals, as the investigation intensified.As per TMZ, the singer’s day-to-day manager, Robert Morgenroth, testified before the grand jury for several days. Additional witnesses could also be called to testify as early as February.No formal charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
