'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam' box office collections day 18: Nandamuri Balakrishna’s film crosses Rs 91 crore; Monday sees sharp drop
Akhanda 2: Thaandavam has crossed Rs 91.51 crore net in India after 18 days, with day 18 collections estimated at Rs 21 lakhs. While Monday saw a dip from the weekend’s strong performance, the film maintains a steady presence in theaters. Actress Samyuktha praised co-star Balakrishna’s dedication to the director’s vision.

‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’ has finished 18 days at the box office. On day 18 the film earned around Rs 21 lakhs India net for all languages. These are early estimates by the Sacnilk website. The total India net collection now stands at around Rs 91.51 crore.The film had already earned Rs 91.30 crore by the end of day 17. Compared to the weekend Monday saw a clear drop in collections. Even with the drop the film is still holding steady in theatres.

Weekend vs Monday performance

Looking at the previous days, day 16, which was the third Saturday, collected Rs 70 lakhs from Telugu markets. Day 17 showed better growth and earned Rs 90 lakhs. Sunday also had higher footfall because of the holiday mood.But on day 18 collections came down sharply. This shows that the weekend push helped the film while weekdays are slower now.

Telugu occupancy details

On the last day ‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’ recorded an overall 14.73% Telugu occupancy. Morning shows had 14.54% occupancy. Afternoon shows were slightly better at 15.96%. Evening shows dropped to 13.07%, while night shows went back up to 15.36%.

Samyuktha’s words about Balayya

Malayalam actress Samyuktha spoke about working with Balakrishna in a recent promotional interview with OTT Play. She said, “In my entire career I have not seen any star just listen to the director and do whatever is told. Bala sir is a rare actor who surrenders to the director and I truly admire this quality of his.”She also shared her excitement about the sequel and said, “I watched the first part and was blown away.
