India Slams Pakistan Over Comments On Minorities In India
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has strongly rejected Pakistan’s claims of attacks on minorities in India, terming them politically motivated and “finger pointing.” MEA pointed out Pakistan’s “abysmal record” in safeguarding its own religious minorities and said its accusations cannot obscure systemic victimisation at home. The remarks came after Pakistani foreign affairs spokesperson Tahir Andrabi called on the international community to act on alleged incidents in India, including attacks on Muslims and Christmas-related vandalism. Last month, Pakistan had also objected to the Ram temple flag-hosting ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said Pakistan lacks moral authority to comment on India and should focus on its own human rights issues.
