In a significant admission, Pakistan’s government has acknowledged damage from India’s anti-terror air strikes on key military sites, including the Nur Khan Air Base in Rawalpindi. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said India launched multiple drones, with one causing damage to a military installation and injuring personnel. He stated that Pakistan’s civilian and military leadership held an emergency meeting on May 9 to authorise decisions in response. Dar also conceded that India struck the air base in the early hours of May 10. The admission contrasts with Pakistan’s earlier denials, despite satellite imagery indicating damage at several air bases. Cross-border shelling continued until Pakistan’s DGMO sought a ceasefire, which India accepted on May 10.
