Hospital staffer held for filming women in changing room | Bengaluru News
Bengaluru: A private hospital staffer’s secret filming inside a changing room has sparked outrage and a police probe in Bengaluru. The accused, identified as Shuvendu Mohata, in his 30s, was arrested by Annapporneshwarinagar police following a complaint filed by the hospital director on Dec 22.
According to the complainant, Shuvendu was caught when he was recording on his mobile phone the women staff, who worked in the surgical unit, while they were changing their clothes around 8am on Dec 20. A staff nurse noticed the mobile and immediately alerted the management.A senior officer said his mobile phone was seized to analyse the data and ascertain if he recorded other staff in the past. A case was registered under Section 77 of the BNS (voyeurism), and investigation is in progress.
