Danish Pandor hails Ranveer Singh, calls him the ultimate ‘Dhurandhar’ co-star; ‘Makes people feel important’
Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’ tackles Hindi cinema’s budget and moral debates through gritty realism. Danish Pandor praises Ranveer Singh’s warmth from day one: “We’ll kill it.” Their trust-fueled chemistry shines in adrenaline scenes. Star cast: Ranveer as Hamza, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar arrives at a time when Hindi cinema is grappling with questions of big budgets, truth, and moral complexity. Rooted in real details and rigorous research, the film explores morally grey zones rather than offering easy emotional resolutions. It challenges viewers to confront brutality, resilience and trust, without quick catharsis. Danish Pandor’s performance stands out in this tightly crafted narrative.

Bonding from day one

In an interview with News18, Danish spoke about his bond with Ranveer Singh and how their off-screen equation evolved during the shoot. He said, “We began shooting around July last year, and most of my scenes were with Ranveer bhai. I still vividly remember the very first day of the narration. He came up to me, hugged me, and said, ‘Danish, we’ll kill it.’”Reflecting on the moment, Danish added, “For a superstar of his stature to offer that kind of warmth and reassurance makes a world of difference. Ranveer is someone who makes people feel important. He motivates you, inspires you, and carries this incredibly positive, contagious energy. He’s secure, selfless, and deeply generous as a co-actor—qualities you always hope for when sharing screen space with someone so experienced.”

Chemistry built on trust

Danish further noted that Ranveer is an exceptional listener. Their on-screen dynamic thrived on constant banter and mutual give-and-take, with both actors remaining open to each other in every scene. Despite having prepared thoroughly and being determined not to let down his senior co-stars, Danish said Ranveer created such a relaxed atmosphere that the process felt seamless and natural. He added that their chemistry unfolds gradually and authentically on screen. Citing the valley gunfire sequence, where the two shoot side by side, Danish described it as “pure adrenaline.” Moments like these, he said, strengthened the characters’ bond, forging a silent “I’ve got your back” trust. Ultimately, that spark emerged from everything aligning—the script, screenplay, Aditya Dhar’s direction, and a co-star who brings complete openness and emotional confidence to the table.
