China has set a new global benchmark in transportation technology after a superconducting maglev vehicle accelerated to 700 kilometers per hour in just two seconds. The breakthrough was achieved by researchers at the National University of Defence Technology in Changsha, using a 400-meter test track and a superconducting electromagnetic propulsion system.
