The Bihar School Examination Board has extended the application window for the D.EL.ED Joint Entrance Examination 2026. The decision applies to candidates seeking admission to the Diploma in Elementary Education course for the 2026–2028 academic session.According to the official notice, the extension has been granted in the interest of students. If you missed the earlier deadline, you now have extra time to complete the form and pay the examination fee through the official portal.Extension of application and fee submission datesThe original schedule allowed candidates to submit the online application and examination fee from December 11, 2025 to December 24, 2025. Through Advertisement No. PR 331/2025, the board has now extended the submission period.Candidates can apply online and deposit the required fee from December 26, 2025 to January 09, 2026. The Bihar School Examination Board has clarified that all other conditions mentioned in its earlier notification, PR 323/2025, will remain unchanged.
Key examination schedule detailsThe D.EL.ED Joint Entrance Examination 2026 will be conducted between January 19, 2026 and February 18, 2026. Admit cards are scheduled to be released on January 10, 2026. A dummy admit card will be issued before the examination, and the correction window for the dummy admit card will be announced separately.After the examination, the answer key objection window will remain open from February 26, 2026 to March 01, 2026. The result is expected to be declared in March 2026. Candidates have been advised to regularly check the official BSEB website for updates.Application fee and payment optionsThe application fee for General, EBC, EWS and BC category candidates is ?960. For SC, ST and Divyang candidates, the fee is ?760. Payments can be made online using debit cards, credit cards, internet banking, IMPS, or mobile wallets.Eligibility and age requirementsApplicants must have passed the Intermediate or Class 12 examination from a recognised board. A minimum of 50 percent marks is required for General and OBC candidates, while SC and ST candidates need at least 45 percent marks.The minimum age for applying is 17 years as of January 01, 2026. There is no maximum age limit, and age relaxation will be provided as per BSEB rules.
