He was 46.According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Ransone passed away on Friday. Multiple reports state that the actor was found dead at his Los Angeles home. The manner of his death was reportedly listed as suicide by hanging.

TMZ, which independently confirmed his death, reported that the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call at the residence and completed a death investigation. No foul play was suspected in his death.

Ransone rose to fame with his role in the HB series ‘The Wire’. He later gained wider recognition for his performance as the adult version of Eddie Kaspbrak in the hit Hollywood horror film ‘It: Chapter Two’. His film credits also include ‘Tangerine’, ‘Sinister’, ‘Sinister 2’, Spike Lee’s ‘Oldboy’ remake, and The Black Phone and its sequel among, many others.
