Navi Mumbai: In Raigad’s 10 municipal councils, Sena won three posts of president, the two NCP factions two each, and BJP, Sena (UBT) and Bharatiya Shetkari Kamgar Paksha (BSKP) a post each. NCP suffered a blow in strongholds of Mahad and Shrivardhan. In Uran, where BJP and Sena had governed for years, Sena failed to open its account, while BJP won most of the wards. In Alibaug, BSKP won 15 of the 19 seats; Sena failed to win any and BJP also fared poorly. —B B Nayak
