‘Jana Nayagan’ satellite partner revealed: Thalapathy Vijay treats fans with NEW poster | Tamil Movie News
Vijay’s film ‘Jana Nayagan’, which is directed by H. Vinoth, has created high expectations among fans, and the film is just a few weeks from its grand Pongal release. As Vijay announced ‘Jana Nayagan’ as his last film as an actor, citing his political career, the commercial value of the film has increased manifold. Hence, fans are eagerly awaiting not only the theatrical release of the film ‘Jana Nayagan’, but also to know the updates on its satellite, OTT, and overseas rights. There has been a lot of speculation for a long time about which channel the satellite rights will go to.
Zee Tamil bags Jana Nayagan satellite rights
Meanwhile, it was widely reported that Sun TV was not trying to buy the satellite rights of the film ‘Jana Nayagan’ as Vijay has been openly criticizing DMK since he started his political party. It was also said that after that, there was fierce competition between Zee Tamil and Vijay TV.
After these long negotiations, KVN Productions has now officially announced that Zee Tamil has acquired the satellite rights of the film ‘Jana Nayagan’. As per Cine Ulagam, around Rs 64 crore has been paid by the satellite partner to steal Vijay’s film.
Jana Nayagan’s strong commercial value
The ‘Jana Nayagan’ new poster released with this announcement is also going viral on social media. Vijay’s menacing appearance in a salt and pepper look, chasing villains with a knife in his hand, has excited the fans. Amazon Prime has reportedly already bought the OTT rights of the film for around Rs 120 crore. Similarly, while the overseas business has also been completed, the satellite license has also been sold for a large sum, clearly showing the commercial value of the film ‘Jana Nayagan’.
‘Jana Nayagan’ audio launch to be held in Malaysia
Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music, and the two already released single tracks have been well received by the fans. Following this, the grand audio launch for the film is to be held in Malaysia. With the film ‘Jana Nayakan’ set to release worldwide on January 9, ahead of the Pongal festival, the reservations for the film have also begun overseas. Since Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Parasakthi’ is also releasing during the same Pongal, there is expected to be stiff competition at the box office between both films.
