Bengaluru: A father and son suffered severe burns after an LPG gas leak triggered a fireball explosion inside their house at Sampangiramanagar early Sunday.The injured, Venkateshappa, 60, and his son Rakesh, 24, were asleep when the gas reportedly leaked. Around 2.30am, Venkateshappa switched on a light, which suspected to have triggered the blast. The fire spread quickly, damaging parts of the house.Both sustained burns while trying to escape. Neighbours rushed in and doused the flames. The injured were taken to Victoria Hospital, where doctors said they suffered about 30% burns and remain under observation.Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the gas leak.
