Bengaluru: Two sales representatives of a supermarket in Attibele, Bengaluru Rural, were arrested for performing a wheelie on their gearless scooter while in an inebriated condition and abusing a bus passenger for objecting to it during the wee hours of Saturday. The accused are Madan Kumar and Charan, both in their mid-20s and residents of Hebbugodi. A motorist who witnessed the incident video-recorded the incident on his mobile and posted it on social media, tagging the police.Acting suo motu, Attibele police inspector S Raghavendra registered three cases against them: driving under the influence of alcohol, performing wheelie stunts, and creating a public nuisance. They were arrested Saturday evening.The video showed Kumar and Charan abusing a private bus passenger who objected to them performing the wheelie. “The bus had stopped near a fuel station as the passenger visited the washroom. While he was walking back to the bus, Madan Kumar, who performed the wheelie, almost hit him. When the passenger objected, the two got into the bus and assaulted him,” an investigating officer said.
