China-Japan Mid-air Faceoff: Beijing Explains Why JF-15 Jet Locked Radar On F-15 | 'HALT HARASSMENT'
Tensions between China and Japan have flared sharply after Beijing accused Japanese fighter jets of intruding into its military training zones and conducting close-in reconnaissance. China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun expressed “strong dissatisfaction,” rejecting Japan’s claim that Chinese jets targeted Japanese aircraft with radar near the Okinawa Islands. Beijing says the radar accusation is false and part of what it calls deliberate “disinformation” and political manipulation. Japan, however, insists its aircraft faced dangerous encounters. With both sides trading blame, concerns are rising over escalating military risks in the East China Sea and the wider Indo-Pacific region.
