A passenger arriving from Dubai was apprehended at Mumbai’s international airport with foreign currency valued at Rs 87 lakh.
MUMBAI: A passenger arriving from Dubai has been arrested at Mumbai’s international airport after customs officials found foreign currency worth Rs 87 lakh concealed in his checked-in trolley bag.Officials said the traveller, who arrived on Air India flight AI2201 on Tuesday, was stopped during baggage inspection, where the cash was found. The man was taken into custody under the provisions of the Customs Act, 1962.An investigation is underway.
