Bengaluru: In a tragic late-night accident, two young dancers lost their lives after a speeding container truck rammed into their bike near Nelamangala, on the outskirts of the city.The deceased have been identified as Prajwal, 22, and Sahana, 21, rising talents in the city’s dance circuit.The duo was returning home Sunday after performing at a cultural event, along with four other dancers. After stopping at a dhaba for dinner, the group left on three motorcycles. While two of the bikes proceeded ahead, Prajwal and Sahana were riding together on the third. The accident occurred around midnight on the bypass road connecting Nelamangala to Kunigal, when a container truck struck their bike from behind, fatally injuring both riders.Prajwal, originally from Nagamangala, was living with his mother in Lakshminarayanapura in the city. Sahana, a resident of Kurubarahalli, lived with her mother and younger brother. The two had become close collaborators after meeting through their shared passion for dance and had participated in hundreds of stage shows and cultural events. Nelamangala traffic police have registered a case and are searching for the driver.
